🎨 Jimmy Aponte, born and raised in the heart of New York City 🗽, captures the pulse and poetry of urban life through bold, expressive photo-paintings. His path into the arts wasn’t linear — during a 2004 theater production 🎭, he was handed a camera 🎥, and from that moment on, he never stopped shooting.

After losing his marketing job, Jimmy began selling his photographs in SoHo 🖼️, where artist Mark Alaquin (TEV 1) encouraged him to paint directly over his images — igniting his signature fusion of photography and paint 🎨🔥. That moment changed everything.

His work quickly caught the attention of locals and art lovers from around the world 🌍. Today, Jimmy continues to create vibrant, layered pieces that celebrate movement, emotion, and the beauty of everyday life — proving that every frame tells a story, and every brushstroke carries a heartbeat 💫❤️.
