🎨 Jimmy Aponte, born and raised in the heart of New York City 🗽, captures the pulse and poetry of urban life through his bold photo-paintings. His journey to the arts wasn’t a straight path — during a 2004 theater production 🎭, he was handed a camera 🎥 and never stopped shooting.
After losing his marketing job, Jimmy began selling photos in SoHo 🖼️, where graffiti legend Mark Alaquin (“TEV 1”) inspired him to paint over his images — sparking his unique fusion of photography and paint 🎨🔥. His work quickly caught the eyes of locals and art lovers from around the world 🌍. Now based in California 🌴, Jimmy continues to create vibrant art and capture life’s beauty, proving that every frame is a story and every brushstroke a heartbeat 💫❤️.
